Reader's Digest put the PowerDetect on top of its pet vacuum round-up in April 2026. The reason it works on fur is mechanical, not magic: two rolls turn in one nozzle, so hair gets peeled off instead of winding into a rope.
This is the model with the emptying base. You park it, the base pulls the bin out, and you deal with fur once every few weeks instead of twice a day. Anyone living with a golden retriever will notice that more than any suction number.
The listing puts runtime at up to 70 minutes in the quiet mode, with a bending wand for getting under a sofa. Seventy minutes is the gentle setting, not the setting you will use on carpet. Plan on roughly half that if you clean a whole floor on boost, which still covers a three-bedroom house in one pass.
Price band on October 26, 2026: $500 to $700. Exact prices move daily, so the button shows today's figure.
